Ed Rodriguez is a stand up comedian born and raised in the South Bronx.
Raised by his mother and maternal grandparents, Ed will split his childhood between two homes, weekdays at his grandparents place and weekends with his mom. The weekdays were spent watching the only two Spanish channels on TV in the 90's, Univision and Telemundo, where he would reenact jokes he would learn from Sabado Gigante and Bienvenidos, a Spanish sketch comedy show.
During the weekend Ed would spend his time watching specials on HBO (because mom had the illegal box). Ed would watch and memorize Comedy Specials from George Lopez and one man shows by John Leguizamo. This is what lit his passion for comedy.

Ed uses his upbringing in The Bronx, his experience as a father and husband in his material. Making him extremely relatable when he's on stage. Today you can find Ed performing all over New York City's most prominent comedy clubs such as, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Comic Strip, Stand Up NY, St. Marks Comedy Club, and the Grisly Pear.

Ed is also the creator, producer, and host of Comedy Mecca; a pop up Comedy Show throughout New York City.
